Mission

The Library provides a welcoming learning environment for students and staff; supports the school’s aims and curriculum; encourages the love of reading and the development of students’ independent learning skills.

Opening Hours

The library is open every school day from 07:50 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Library Periods

According to the school timetable, the students of Class VI-XII can visit the library for the issue and return of the books during their library periods. They can read reference books, periodicals, and e-readers during this time and also participate in library activities.

Faculty and staff

Maximum 05 books for a period of 01 Month. 

Library Automation

The stock and services of the library have been automated with e-Granthalaya, an Integrated Library Management software. An online catalogue of library holdings is available. Patrons can search by using keywords, author, title, and subject.

MY BOOK MY FRIEND

My Book My Friend’ campaign was launched by Hon’ble HRD Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ to encourage students to keep reading books. 

The students may be encouraged to go beyond their textbooks and discover the joy of reading some other books of their interest available in their homes or on internet. The students may be assisted in the selection of books by sharing with them the list of books and links from where they can download the books free of cost.

What is PISA?

Created by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), PISA tests the skills and knowledge of 15-year-old students in reading, mathematics and science. Seventy-nine countries and economies took part in the 2018 assessment, which focused on reading, and the data were released by the OECD on 3rd December 2019.

Additional results on financial literacy, school organisation and global competence will be released in 2020.
